ive never used the term "arab" for obama until this thread b/c thats what a few have chose to say he was and that he wasnt black

His father was/is not a muslim, but an athiest.

At the point he knocked up Obama Jr's mom he was an atheist. And again, you and gamma are the only two I've seen make a mention of Junior's religion except in reference to questioning how he could attend a church for 20 years and be personal friends with the pastor and somehow not know about Wright being a racist.

even if Obama was a muslim. i can careless. i support him. the US is a nation of many religous backgrounds. even though im christian but not overly religious

Omg this is too funny. I'm so glad I started this thread! It was getting boring in here for a minute. Now time for some crackerjacks.

if this article is correct, post the ads so we may see and judge. otherwise the article is just heresay.

1. Tell me one politician that doesn't try to sound like your best friend when running for President. They know how to work an audience, all of them do.
2. So he shouldn't bash deadbeat dads? You like deadbeat dads? I don't.

Pardon me? Where? This is my first post in this thread.

Where the fuck are you coming up with this stuff??? Where did I bring up his religion? Not in this thread, not in the other Obama thread either. Don't go Bill O' Reily on me and start barking allegations with no evidence to support your claims.

Take a look at Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans and other traditional "chocolate cities" and tell me how D.C. being a "real chocolate" city would be an improvement?

The mid-west has had record flooding and easily as much or more damage as happened to New Orleans; but you don't hear the residents crying out for the government to help or see people looting stores. You see (when the media gives it any coverage) neighbors helping each other to evacuate, to reinforce levees with sandbags, to survive.

Maybe if D.C. were more like these mid-western cities it'd help spark positive change.

Ok...Spike Lee's a clown, AND you're a clown.

One. Obama's comment that you referenced earlier in the thread was about Republicans, not white people. The pronoun "they" is being used in the place of the noun "Republicans." You and every other clown on Fox News that tries to spin that look nothing short of moronic for trying to make it what it's not. You know what, he's right. It is happening. Please tell me you're not denying that you've either heard about it or seen it. Are you that ashamed of the truth or are you just trying to spin it like all of the other bullshit that Republicans have tried to spin over the last 7 years? It's not specific to whites either. There are plenty of non white people on Fox that swear by this ignorant crap as well. McCain and Obama deserve to have a fair fight. It looks like the two of them will have that. Everyone outside of them will battle eachother with this stupidity. Republican ideals used to make so much sense. Now you look like a bunch of crooked fools.

Two. How many people live in those areas per square mile? Sure, people's homes were flooded, but we're talking about a bunch of fields. Hell, there's less major airports in that whole area than there are in the city of Houston alone. If a tree falls in the woods and no one's there to hear it, who gives a fuck? Do you recall how many people died in New Orleans? Please tell me you're not comparing a hurricane to a bunch of storms that produced flooding over a period of time. If I remember correctly, it'd been raining in this area constantly for a matter of weeks and the snow from earlier in the year from north of here had already saturated the ground. This was a disaster waiting to happen, and the lack of death speaks to the lack of people in the area along with the amount of time people had before they were trapped in it. Chances are you won't ever see something like Katrina here again because we will be so cautious it will make you sick. I guess you think when a disaster happens in a predominantly white area they just pay for the shit themselves and the FEDs do nothing? You sound so stupid it's funny. I wonder what would happen if Beverly Hills went up in flames or if your town were destroyed by a tornado tomorrow???? My guess is you'd go to Home Depot, buy some materials and build a new house with your bare hands 'cause you won't need the government's help. No federal aid for you. Yeah right. You make me laugh.

By the way, the farmers and shit that live in that area get more help from the government than any person who was a victim of Katrina or someone who fits the demographic of a Katrina survivor could ever dream of. Again, you're a clown.

Hold on to those guns and religion tight and never let go!

And one more thing...I saw the video that that quote came from. He was talking to a bunch of white people!!! I wonder if the people that put that stuff out think most Americans are stupid? They have to. Anyone with some sense would be able to figure out what he's trying to say. Hilarious.

1. Umm, I'm pretty sure that was my point actually.
2. It wasn't about all deadbeat dads, more about black men. When I heard it, it came across as a generalization about most black men. But, that was what I took out of it so I'm not going to post that as fact. If you want to read the transcripts of the father's day speech it is here ---> Obama's Father's Day Speech Urges Black Fathers To Be More Engaged In Raising Their Children - Politics on The Huffington Post

it was a great speech, don't get me wrong. i just felt like, in front of a huge black congregation, he would put it more eliquently. it came across as chastisation.

For some reason this thread kinda reminds me of the Tiger Wood's Nike, "there are still courses that he can't play because of the color of his skin", commercial.

Way to start off your comments, calling people clowns. Really does wonders for the credibility of anything you say after that...

Seriously, the only ones I've seen bring up Obama's race as a potential stumbling block have been himself and his campaign. And who gives a damn about the make-up of the audience when he said that, it doesn't matter one bit.

Yeah, Des Moines is just open fields... Maybe you should actually do some research before you go spouting off about a whole section of the country you obviously are ignorant about. And yes I'm comparing the two events because it has been known for years that New Orleans was sinking further below sea level and that the levees were only designed to withstand a category 3 (possibly 4) hurricane; guess what Katrina was predicted to be a category 5 or WORSE days before landfall. Plenty of time for people to have evacuated.

In the "Can you trust Obama" thread you mentioned you were tired of people calling him a Muslim; despite the fact no one in the posts I read (I admittedly barely paid attention to Smokes and 240s pissing contest) had mentioned him being a Muslim or his faith being Islam.
