all i know is that they are from kenya, they are black and are muslim. others refered to him as arab.
so i refered to him as black arab along their terms so they would keep up,

Take a look at Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans and other traditional "chocolate cities" and tell me how D.C. being a "real chocolate" city would be an improvement?
The mid-west has had record flooding and easily as much or more damage as happened to New Orleans; but you don't hear the residents crying out for the government to help or see people looting stores. You see (when the media gives it any coverage) neighbors helping each other to evacuate, to reinforce levees with sandbags, to survive.

Two. How many people live in those areas per square mile? Sure, people's homes were flooded, but we're talking about a bunch of fields. Hell, there's less major airports in that whole area than there are in the city of Houston alone. If a tree falls in the woods and no one's there to hear it, who gives a fuck? Do you recall how many people died in New Orleans? Please tell me you're not comparing a hurricane to a bunch of storms that produced flooding over a period of time. If I remember correctly, it'd been raining in this area constantly for a matter of weeks and the snow from earlier in the year from north of here had already saturated the ground. This was a disaster waiting to happen, and the lack of death speaks to the lack of people in the area along with the amount of time people had before they were trapped in it. Chances are you won't ever see something like Katrina here again because we will be so cautious it will make you sick. I guess you think when a disaster happens in a predominantly white area they just pay for the shit themselves and the FEDs do nothing? You sound so stupid it's funny. I wonder what would happen if Beverly Hills went up in flames or if your town were destroyed by a tornado tomorrow???? My guess is you'd go to Home Depot, buy some materials and build a new house with your bare hands 'cause you won't need the government's help. No federal aid for you. Yeah right. You make me laugh.

Yeah, Des Moines is just open fields... Maybe you should actually do some research before you go spouting off about a whole section of the country you obviously are ignorant about. And yes I'm comparing the two events because it has been known for years that New Orleans was sinking further below sea level and that the levees were only designed to withstand a category 3 (possibly 4) hurricane; guess what Katrina was predicted to be a category 5 or WORSE days before landfall. Plenty of time for people to have evacuated.
