i was debating on bringing this up. but you're right. why is he considered african-american?
he is half white and half kenyan (as in african, NOT african-american, there is a difference). he was raised by his white mother and white grandparents. his dad left at a very early age. who do you think he relates to more, white ppl or african americans?
people just see the color of his skin so they assume he's african american

this was covered extensively in the "do you trust Obama" thread
The whole race thing starts about 9-10 pages in and goes on and on
"That's going to change, though," he said. "We need a real Chocolate City," an apparent reference to the prospect of the United States under Obama, who would be the first U.S. black president if elected in November.
Take a look at Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans and other traditional "chocolate cities" and tell me how D.C. being a "real chocolate" city would be an improvement?
The mid-west has had record flooding and easily as much or more damage as happened to New Orleans; but you don't hear the residents crying out for the government to help or see people looting stores. You see (when the media gives it any coverage) neighbors helping each other to evacuate, to reinforce levees with sandbags, to survive.
Maybe if D.C. were more like these mid-western cities it'd help spark positive change.

while there are alot of whites and other ethnicities are against Obama.
there are millions more with him. majority of this country would like to see a obama succeed. and if he was assasinated this country would be in an uproar.
this isnt the 60's anymore. racism isnt socially acceptable like it was in the 70's and back.
being black, one of the things i really thought about with obama is him being assasinated. but the more i thought about it and saw how many whites rallied behind him.
tthis country will tear at the seams if he's assasinated.
I'm not sure if there will be any serious attempts on Obama's life if he was to be President. The potential for him to pick Hillary as his running mate scares me to the point where I'd lock him in a steel vault to make sure that crazy bitch doesn't run the country.

If these ads don't disgust you then I have nothing more to say. And I never once use the word 'RACISM' I just said these were disgusting. Re-read my post. I said they were hating.
"The ad, which included a photo of Obama wearing a turban as part of a traditional outfit given to him in Africa, concluded with a man saying: "It's time for people of faith to stand against Barack Hussein Obama." A group called the Coalition Against Anti-Christian Rhetoric paid for the ad, which stations quickly dropped after the Obama campaign complained"
"The Texas Republican Party recently cut ties with a vendor whose political buttons at a party convention included one saying: "If Obama is president ... will we still call it The White House?"
And I have a feeling that someone will seriously try to take Obama out if he becomes prez.
im tired of people saying this. hes a black man, i can careless the percentages of his ethnicities
he justs as black as me and the other blacks on this forum as around the world
the racist call him nigger like they call me.
he's Black, african american and all the above.
he's a PROUD black man, and represent it.
you may think he's not black. but he will tell you very different
he was a kid he grew up calling himself Barry and was raised by his white mother and grandmother in Hawaii. His black father had little to do with him during his life.
I'd give that more support than ethanol, but it just pushes pollution upstream and creates a pollution problem when it comes time to dispose of the battery pack. More details on the plan aside from "30 percent of current costs" would be good before totally dismissing the plan though the $300 million prize figure coming from government coffers is extreme; get prize money from private investors.
