Fawk................not that I was going to vote for him anyway. Really I'm just going to vote for the least evil and that happens to be McCain.

Gard, I'm sure that as soon as gamma is back from his shift at McDonald's he will reply to your post.

The State of SC already has a "civilian security force". The SC Code of Laws says that every able bodied male from 17 to 70 not convicted of a felony is in the State Militia. The officers of the Citadel, SC's military school, and the members of SC State Guard, an unpaid outfit under the Adjustant General like the National Guard are the cadre to train and organize if needed.

Freakonomics, awesome book, a little out there, but good book. I went and picked it up a few days after you mention it, read a couple of inserts online. Good read
Still disagree witht he mechannisms as it relates to the pay scale. people who are rich will not strive to be pooer because the government took more money in taxes. Again, a better example of that would be lower middle class. A lower middle class person who figures hell it would be less stressful, less concerning if I just become poor.....That's a much better example..

I must be the lower middle class person of which you speak. I decided why work my ass off to support other people, I got really sick of paying so much money in taxes that just goes to lazy ass people. I cut back from working 16 hours a day, seven days a week to about 9 hours a day for 5 days a week. I let go my assistant, no use paying someone $40K a year out of my pocket. I pay a lot less in federal tax, state tax, social security tax and other taxes now and can actually live better now on half what I was making.

Now, when I go on vacation I can not worry so much about keeping up with everything. I am really enjoying my new life right now.
