Well so far my V1 radar has been good to me, but I have kept at 80 or less most of the way and blended in with traffic. And since I just put it on about a year ago after having a led foot for years, I've learned to keep my eyes peeled and look at on ramps in my rearview mirror as a force of habit. Complete reliance on a radar detector is foolish.
Probably.. But even so the x50 claims to detect laser too. I know they say that by the time it detects the laser its probably too late, but even still it shoulda made some signal when I was hit no? My only other explaintion is maybe he never clocked me.. Just saw me blow by at an obviously ridiculous rate of speed and just quoated me the speed he had to travel to catch up? That would explain the silence of my shit detector and I'm sure I was doing 120 when he saw me anyway

+2 on foolishness. I was definately being careless. I've been pulled over more times (4) in three months owning this car than I have in 5 years previous (with no radar detector). I drive just as fast but i'm having more fun and keep forgetting the speed limit. Exits, hills, underpasses, etc I know i should be extra wary but I have definatey been slipping since I got the G. I claim temporary rear-drive induced stupidity.

I call BS to the detectors that claim to catch laser. I don't see how they detect laser unless it's a lidar unit. If it's laser only, then the Popo shooting your detector probably has the worst aim in the world (or he's just getting up from his nap).
