A lot of inacurate information.... I also don't believe the usage numbers... most usage is like white pages - people find, they were already looking for.

personally, it's easier for me to goto my homepage - yahoo - and type everything in one line... than looking on superpages.com and having to type in different information in different fields.....

yeah it's useful.. but it could be much more useful if it was maintained properly and MARKETED properly... but 7 out of 10 people have never heard of superpages.com

In CT we cannot cold call people. It is against the law. I get the majority of my leads from referral sources like lawyers, mtg brokers, and past clients...

The only downside is that the comission structure and lead generation is geared more to an individual who has been in the insurance field for a while. Take a look at the field. You might have to weed through some garbage but you might find something you like with a good company.
that's odd, down here it seems like every insurance sales position is full commission... they market the jobs to recent grads/20-somethings and the turnover rate is horrible. it doesn't matter to the company though because they are investing nothing into the employees. then again, that might just be all i see advertised on the help wanted websites - there may be legitimate insurance sales jobs here somewhere...

+1. pharmaceutical sales is big there. if you have several years experience in sales, you can get in with a pretty nice salary and/or commission structure. most of them are bringing in very high 5 figures minimum. that can get you a lot in NC.

i have also heard that if you get in the right car dealership you can make well over $100k - that might be ordinary, i dont know too much about car sales. but that seems like a lot of cash for that job.

also to Zero: Charlotte is i believe the biggest banking city on the east coast. with your mortgage background, you would probably do well there.

at the right dealership, yes. it surprised me too, but some of those guys work their *ss off. also it depends how many other sales ppl there are. but i was referring more to the FNI guys and sales managers. those are not difficult jobs to attain if you have the right personality and are willing to work 70+ hour weeks.
