@simpson: you sure it wasn't one of the original (i.e. older) ZR-1's? I mean I see them around now and then, but they are rare. If it was a current model and they had the ZR-1 badge on it, then I know what you mean. I laugh at it. I see lots of Benzo's with AMG tags on it just because they have the rims and I laugh.

It was most definitely a current gen vette cause i kept staring it to make sure it wasn't the older model....but yeah, just a current gen base vette with ZR1 badges, and of course one douche inside
^ i was thinking that too, but it sounds like it is a newer vette. the zr-1's were the c4 body style (right?)
This is correct. The C3 was the stingray body, and although technically there was some rare ZR-1 option available, the car that really popularized the whole ZR-1 badge was the C4 (offered from 90-96 or something like that).
When the C4 ZR-1 came out with the Yamaha (was it?) messaged motor with DOHC and 4 Valves per cylinder I thought GM finally was gonna move into the 20th century, but alas it was a limited edition and they went back to the the 19th century push rods.
