You can actually eliminate it by removing your OEM valve and taking out the spring and stopper assembly (basically a spring and a metal ball). It's just easier to buy a replacement valve and mount.

theres more to it. you have to refill the brake/clutch fluid reservoir....after you find it. and you have to have a pressure bleeder or its not as easy and takes longer.
