I felt the same way regarding price.. I was actually shopping around for some of the pricier watches when I Got the invicta as a present from my girl. I was so satisfied with it that I just stopped looking. I had never even heard of it before. I'd still like to and plan on getting something a little more "upscale" at some point for occasasions that i may want to make a little more of a statement but its not a priority anymore. Again, for what it costs and the build quality this can't be beat as an everyday watch. I'm curious to see what zooms has to say about it since he seems to be the 6mt watch authority

zooms is off on some volunteer trip to guatamala to help the locals build straw huts. i doubt we will see him for years.

anyhow, i went ahead and ordered the one i posted. there were 5-6 other invicta's i really liked... i actually was browsing chrono watches on overstock.com without looking at prices and most of the invictas caught my eye. then i saw the price and i was shocked.

Oh yeah isn't zooms out in japan celebrating the miracle that is life after his near death out of body experience? Something about a Chrysler 300 and a Compton hot pocket?

oh yah i forgot about that. as i recall, he bumped the curb when he was parking and then went on and on about how he thought he was going to die and how he's lucky to be alive after such a close call etc etc.

How about this watch? Thinking about buying it. Its the style I've been looking for and the price I wanna pay for something to kick around in day to day. Inly thing i don't like is the name of the watch sprawled accross the front. Any thoughts on it or know of a better one in a similar style?

Kenneth Cole Steel Automatic Chronograph Strap Watch from Overstock.com

i've had kenneth cole watches in the past. they are OK, but lack the quality feel of a good watch. they typically have a smaller face, are lightweight and have a thin case. a few months have gone by and im still very happy with my invicta. it's heavy, very thick (tall) case and has great detail in the face. i still get compliments on it several times a week... even the rolex dealer that sized it for me complimented me on it. i would check around for other brands and see if there is anything else you like. it's not bad, but i'd say you will find other dedicated watch brands that you will like better.
