Well there is some truth to what she says.. as far as the government being involved, that's questionable at best. HOWEVER, I totally agree with her assessment of the media fueling that east/west thing.. creating a national incident out of a problem between TWO men, not two coasts. We all ate it up, gave it power and the rest is history.. no denying that.

The media didn't force people to shoot either guy. There is no government cover up, this is the same thing that happens in the inner cities. Guys get wacked and no one wants to speak. She wants something done, she should go and tell the people to talk to the police so the shooters will get arrested.

I didn't say I thought the government was involved. But when I say that the media can add fire to a situation, its no different than someone disrespecting you in some way and your peers are all asking you "what are you going to do about that?" I'm sure we all have made bad decisions in an attempt to save face when your manhood or courage is questioned by a few.. imagine if the whole nation is watching? Do I think it is worth taking a life over? Of course not but like they say pressure bursts pipes and the media put the pressure of entire coasts on the backs of those two men.. Nothing good was going to come of that.

^^Lifestyle can't be ignored and it contributed to the whole mess without a doubt. I remember listening to Biggie's album a couple days after he was killed and listening to all the gun and murder talk etc and thinking how idiotic it sounded in light of what had happened.. sometimes you talk enough about something it comes true

+1
I agree.
It worth mentioning that the killers of Tupac and Biggie Smalls have never been caught. Kind of weird since one of the bodyguards of Biggie Smalls was an off-duty LAPD officer of Rampart division.
It's a good mystery, that's for sure. But the pressure was on between west vs. east. It was rampant over here and it was most definitely egged on by the media. No doubt.
you mean you've never heard of the pac conspiracies?
supposedly the SOB is living in jamaica or some crap . i never really believed in any of that crap. though, the fact that the composite sketch looks so much like pac does in fact add fuel to the fire.
either way, everyone really knows that the whole west vs. east BS was just for promotion. it still goes on today with other "rappers".
truth is, both of them were killed by some crazy bastards who bought into the whole east vs. west battle way too much. RIP to pac & BIG.
