super, my bad, but this entire time I was confusing the new SD ceramic with the new sub. I've been referring to the new SC ceramic, but I did hear in passing, from my other watch buddies, that a new sub is around the corner. So let me ask them boys and I'll get back to you.

cool...it only makes sense that a new sub is coming since they redesigned the sd.
I have a feeling that Rolex won't go big with the sub though. Although the sub is the original dive watch, dive fans have gone for the SD more due to the fact that it doesn't have a cyclops and it's more of a "tool" divers' watch. I prefer the SD too as I also don't like the cyclops. If I remember correctly the SD is a tiny bit thicker than the sub too. I've had both, but ended up flipping the sub, but still have the SD. It never gets any wrist time as it's just too damn small for my liking. I'm taking another look at Rolex since this new SD is supposed to be 43mm. It's still small but man have you seen that thick domed x-tal on that sucker? I like the new look and the size. I have a feeling that the new sub won't be that big and will keep with the traditional smaller size, but that's just my guess.

I don't like gold, white gold yes, silver yes, but definitely not gold.
So that Sea Dweller that DDS posted is freakin' nice! Very nice.
gamma I've mistakenly bought one, only one, gold watch. I put her on for like a second and took her off to never buy a gold watch again. I've learned my lesson. I'll wait till my 60's to ever wear a gold watch and even then I probably won't. As I've said before, I'm into large diver watches and if you've ever seen a large gold dive watch you'll know that gold and dive watch just doesn't go well together.

lol...i hate the blue/gold subs. all the wrist pics i see on the rolex forum are dudes with hairy ass arms/wrists. is that a prerequisite for owning a rollie?
super have you seen that new PVD'd sub? They're asking $16k for it, which is nuts I think since the regular ss sub goes for $6k. I've been into PVD's and DLC'd watches for some time now, but it looks like it's catching on with the crowd as all the Swiss manufacturers now have, or will have, a PVD/DLC'd watch in their line up.
I just picked up another, well actually two, Panerai's and I'm totally on PAM's again. Thought I was done with them, but for some reason I can't take my mind off of them these days. I put a deposit down for 2 more and after they arrive I'm done for the year. I gotta be careful that I don't let the dragon out it's cage again. Let me know what you decide on super.

Don't worry man, you can shave Hexx's back and glue the hair on your arms. Problem solved.
