you can get by with 60k and an accord in L.A., but it will be used and you won't have a 2 bedroom apartment unless you live in Whittier, South L.A. or the San Gabriel Valley.

San Diego is not known for its architecture/design firms so it's been hard for me trying to get back into that field. Therefore, applying to a new field is really competitive. In some cases I'm over qualified, in others, I don't have the necessary experience. And I know in some, I don't meet their payscale.
so im taking it you arent willing to take a pay cut (albeit not too dramatic) just to get a job and SOME $$ in your pocket?
well being over qualified should be fine. as long as they allow you to move up once something opens up you should be fine no?
