Neft, what you just said goes against what you believe too. Are you not forced fed to believe in God as a child? Or forced to go to church every weekend? You say we have a one track mind because we are more science oriented but you are the same way except you are religion oriented. You have a one track mind as well.....
To put it in incredibly overly simplistic terms...
Imagine that you are on a dry lake bed driving in your G at a given speed. In your rear view mirror you can see another G driving in the opposite direction. You are able to determine the speed of that G because you just happen to have a radar gun in your hand. And you know at what speed you are traveling. You are also able to estimate the distance between the both of you.
Given those facts, and assuming that you both started at the same point on the lake bed. you should be able to do the math and determine how far apart you are and how long you have been traveling.
This again is grossly oversimplified, don't flame me.

Back to my original question... yeah it could be "bullshit"... THATS WHAT I WAS ASKING... that's why i brought it up.... i don't think they have no idea tho.. i don't think they are simply "feeding me bullshit"... i think it's their best estimate at this time with their current knowledge.
To say that they know no more than us is just insane to say... they have devoted their life and studies to those subjects... they DO know more than us. I understand the argument of "bad" scientists, ala bad doctors, lawyers, etc.... however, i belive most of this to be "generally understood" by the scientific community. Not just one scientist that came up with all of these figures......
