Default 750, have u been to this site?

Hey 750, have you happened to visit this A5/S5 forum?:

Audi A5 Forum & Audi S5 Forum - A5/S5 Owners Club

There seem to be alot of cool people on there and alot of European drivers who have had their Audis since last year. Pretty useful info. I switched my username to DarkS5 on there. Have a look if you havent already.

I went to check out an A5 yesterday. Didn't drive it, just took a look at it in the showroom since I was passing by the dealership. Great looking car. Interior was well laid out.. I LOVED the glass roof that I hear some people complain about. Car had that solid feeling that you should feel when you slam the door shut on a 40+ grand automobile. The interior didn't have that sporty feeling that I want in a coupe, but it definitely had the luxury thing covered, and I liked the paddle shifters.

More of a big heavy touring coupe than a sporty backroads type of deal but for what it is, without driving it I gotta say its a new favorite of mine. Very nice.

only the S5 has the glass roof. you sure it wasn't an S that you were looking at? as far as interiors go, you won't find one nicer than an audi. bmw and MB have both openly stated they are chasing audi on the interior quality thing...

Audi just needs to step up in performance. They have the look inside and out covered.

I'm pretty sure it was an A5.. the sticker was only about 43 grand. The roof was glass almost about halfway into the rear passenger area (am I exaggerating?) and had a thin mesh kinda screen for it.. Now there WAS an S8 and an S6 in the showroom as well.. but thats a COMPLETELY different conversation. There was even a Q7 with an S line package that was very nice IF I was in the market for a sporty people hauler. Audi's line up in general was very attractive I must say.. All that to say that yes the interior was certainly top-notch

Yup, Audi definitely steps it up as far as quality, so it will be quite a leap going from the G to the S5. After test driving and doing a lot of research I did find out that the A5/S5 is no dance partner on the road, but I've accepted it and Im really just looking for a great GT anyway.

to be honest, i don't think you will notice much of a difference. the 4.2 is a GREAT engine. it will put you back in the seat. you'll love the handling due to the suspension and quattro... it's not just AWD. plus the quality and looks.

take me for instance, i just had a 1.8t... my G kills that car in performance, yet i still find myself longing for it a year later.

I test drove 2 Jettas, 2 A6's (one was the slower 6cyl and the other was the 8cyl), and a GTI today. Next week there are 2 TTs that I want to take out. I am going back to German cars soon. F*k it if they are a bit underpowered, I am not racing!

what years on all of those cars?

i really like the new body A6. the TTs IMO are only one step up from a bug.
