I thought they already came to the conclusion that there were no link but I guess the Pentagon kept going to justify the invasion of Iraq. So what's the point of this study and what's going to happen after it goes public? I think nothing. I can't wait til we get a new president.
On a side note, our economy is in shambles, the Canadian dollar is worth more than the greenback so how much does the war in Iraq contribute to the decline, if at all, of our economy?

Actually, that has nothing to do with the war... our brilliant leader thought it would be a great idea for exports if our almighty dollar took a slight plunge.

If you run a search you will find some information of the FBI's question of Saddam. In that you will see how Saddam intentionally mislead the world community as to the existence of his WMD. By giving all appearances of having WMD he hoped to prevent an invasion of Iraq, but instead it ended up being one of the causes for one.
You will also notice how he still had the personnel necessary to restart a WMD program.

Well with the WMD issue, I can see why Saddam could have used this ploy to stike fear in to his neighbors. Maybe that's why the US was fooled also? But then again I don't trust this administration at all.
Didn't Saddam agree to a bunch of demands from us ( & U.N.) in exchange for us to stop mopping the floor with him in the Gulf War? He stopped holding up his end of the deal by not allowing the inspectors in...I say let the as kicking start again!
Having said that I'm no big fan of Bush either, he never met a spending bill he didn't like! Veto some freaking pork barrel spending, damn it!
Till Bush, I'd never imagined that they could put a monkey into the Oval office. I've obviously been proven wrong.
I also can't believe that his wife was a public school teacher for over 10 years. What? She didn't know that her husband couldn't spell President? I mean come on... what has this experienced teacher been doing at home??? At the least she should have applied her teaching skills on her own monkey.

Well supposedly the FBI said that Saddam was afraid the Iranians would invade. Apparently he didn't think the world community would do anything to prevent that. So it appears he felt the lesser evil was to defy the UN sanctions and agreements in favor of keeping the appearance of teeth.
Still the WMD had to go somewhere and the paperwork saying where they went is missing. I can't help but thing some nutcase out there has a whole bunch of nasty stuff.

and they knew this how? most it was from the testimony of this guy . . .
Ahmed Chalabi
"Chalabi is a controversial figure for many reasons. In the lead-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, under his guidance the INC provided a major portion of the information on which U.S. Intelligence based its condemnation of Saddam Hussein, including reports of weapons of mass destruction and alleged ties to al-Qaeda. Nearly all, if not all, of this information has turned out to be false. That, combined with the fact that Chalabi subsequently boasted about the impact that their falsifications had in an interview with the British Sunday Telegraph, led to a falling out between him and the United States.
Initially, Chalabi enjoyed close political and business relationships with some members of the U.S. government, including some prominent neoconservatives within the Pentagon. Chalabi is said to have had political contacts within the Project for the New American Century, most notably with Paul Wolfowitz, a student of nuclear strategist Albert Wohlstetter and Richard Perle who was introduced to Chalabi by Wohlstetter in 1985. He also enjoyed considerable support among politicians and political pundits in the United States, most notably Jim Hoagland of The Washington Post, who held him up as a notable force for democracy in Iraq."
I keep telling you guys about PNAC and you guys just refuse to believe me.
^^^No Gamma, the FBI themselves stated that this was from their questioning of Saddam himself. Where have you been?
This is true. They got the information from Saddam himself and that's what I believe. However, I still keep an open mind about the other theories. Saddam also told the FBI that the WMD's were dismantled by UN and the rest were destroyed by Saddam. I tend to believe this instead of Saddam hiding or giving away WMD's.

I'm still on the fence about Saddam destroying all his WMD's. This is the same guy who buried fighter aircraft to protect them from the Coalition forces so he could use them later. Also the same guy who set up massive caches of ordinary weapons for later use.
