So I've been on the hunt for a new computer moniter, but I want it big because i want to hook up my other PS3 to it via HDMI. I am currently using an older 20 inch Sharp LCD TV, and its too small to enjoy the PS3, and the res is too low to run as a PC moniter, top is 1080 x 768, so yeah, not so great.
So I am looking to spend no more than $500 and have been looking at this Hanns-G 28 inch moniter w/ HDMI and true 1080p with a max res at 1900 x 1200. Newegg has a lot of positive comments, but Im still hesitant to pull the trigger because I want to be positively sure that this is the one I want
Does anyone else have any experience with this brand or model? I know its not that popular, but Im not gonna let that stop me if the product is solid.
what do you need a 28in monitor for?? hook up your PS3 to a HDTV like everyone else.
I know , I didnt expect much response.
I wanted a big screen for computer use, cause I have a gaming rig and its easier to write up lap reports and papers with all that desktop space. I also have my PS3 in my room and I didnt want to get a another LCD TV to use as a moniter because the native res is kinda low for the comp and I would only get 720p/1080i for the PS3. So I figure I could just get the best of both worlds by getting a 28 LCD moniter w/ HDMI that has a 1900x 1200 res, so I get my 1080p for the PS3. Not a bad set up i think.
Yeah, most havent, they pretty much just stick to making LCD moniters, but I just bought it from costco, great return policy. Im seriously loving this moniter right now, so much space and so crisp
