So what man...........Castro is stepping down what's the feeling like down there in Florida? What do you folks think will change now that his brother is in charge (officially) and what happens when his brother kicks the bucket (can't last much longer than 10 years).

just like there is only one hitler, there is only one castro.
his brother will never be able to live up to fidel's reign of crap.
i saw on the news that there are celebrations in the heart of miami. i don't really see what the big deal is, i knew this was coming. in fact, i have a very strong feeling he is dead already and has been dead for quite some time. but you know, i know it's different for those who lived in cuba and had to go through the devastation first hand.
sometimes i wish some of my family and family-friends were still around to enjoy this moment with the rest of their people.
Saddam's two sons were notorious, almost as much as their father. One of them, most likely the younger, would have taken their father's place. That's for sure. Saddam was grooming him for the job. Which, in his job category, is called retirement security.

it's rare to have two genuises or two monsters in the same family.
just like saddam has/had sons, so what? i never saw/seen them getting any publicity...
Are you kidding me? Saddam most definitely had some really messed up sons. Producing monsters & idiots is easy, trying to produce a child that's a genius is something else (which I think that friggen girlie haircut Gamma will soon spout out).

^^^Dang, the Zooms was quick on the draw. I believe Saddam's older son was the one with ties to the Iraqi sports machine and was the one with stories of how he used to rape a lot of the female athletes, punish those athletes who he didn't think were up to par, and just rape women in general.

hmmmm... forgive my lack of knowledge, but i really do not know anything of saddam's sons that would've made them noteworthy global threats.
were they criminals and crooked individuals? very much indeed. but would they have been able to reign with the same iron fist as their dad? i highly doubt it, but now we'll never know.
the respect and intimidation factors are hard to attain, especially when being compared and expected to live up to previous tyrannical maniacs. i know for a fact that that the cuban american people agree raul is a much weaker individual than his brother fidel. regardless of how much he has done... blah blah blah... all talk. there are even jokes and rumors circulating around that he's probably gay.
honestly, i don't care too much about the people currently on the island. i feel bad for them from a humanitarian point of view, but i know that the great majority of them are corrupt individuals; classless/brainwashed fools. it's not their fault, they were born into that life. but as of right now, most cubans arriving from the island are not even socially accepted within the cuban american community, much less the united states.
i want to see a free cuba so i could go visit with my family, and see where my father grew up. i want to see a free cuba where i could see other cuban americans visiting their homeland.

Qusay Hussein played a vital role in crushing the Shiite uprising in the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf War and is also thought to have masterminded the destruction of the southern marshes of Iraq....Iraqi dissidents claim that Qusay Hussein was allegedly responsible for the killing of many political activists.
Uday raped and murdered scores of young women across Iraq during his father's reign, although he was never charged with or tried for such crimes. He was for several years seen as the heirapparent of his father. His erratic behavior and troubled relationship with his father and brother were well-publicized in the media both before and after he was killed at age 39 by US military forces during a prolonged gunfight.
Am I the only one who feels a little sorry for Castro? I mean, I know the guy was a maniac, killed a lot of people, tortured hundreds, and had his ruthless streak. At the same time, I applaud his little guy mentality versus the great big country to the north that's tried to remove him over and over again. From his humble beginnings, the guy fought like a Lion and didn't bow down to American interests for decades.
I'm going to miss this bad guy, if he wasn't a communist, he could of been a great American politician in a different life.
