What are you heading up there for? I played paintball there once. So much fun. Has to be the best place to play in the country.

staying at the Inn at Jim Thorpe with my gf for a night... gonna hang out tonite, hike tomorrow....

honestly, i've been to Hawaii, Alaska.. tons of islands, etc, etc. Jim Thorpe is one of my favorite little towns anywhere.. i dont know why.. just the way it is... the history and everything about it.
i know al the history about it too.... it used to be called Mauk Chunk... but after the coal mining was done there.. they has serious financial troubles and got a hold of Jim Thorpes body, buried him there and renamed the town...
There's actually a movie about the town... "The Molly Maguires".. from 1969.. with Sean Connery... it's about the coal mining in that area in the late 1800s.. and the group that formed - The Molly Maguires -- to fight the heads of the coal mining company....

i dont know, i just love the place.. but also great for outdoor stuff... close to ski slopes too, but wont be doing that this weekend... doing that the end of Feb
