I know this is a bit on the tangent and I hope I don't ruffle any feathers, but the posts above made me think of this. In the US, there are many blacks that are more mixed than true African blacks. I mean when I was in Africa I was shocked to find that those people over there look nothing, I mean nothing, like blacks over here.
I guess the same can pretty much be said of any ethnicity that's been here for several generations. Same goes for the Asians, Latinos and even Europeans, but I think it especially goes for the black people. There are literally no light skinned blacks, yes I mean blacks not the caucasian Africans north of the Sahara, in Africa and no black person in Africa has straight hair. Hell not even extentions!
I'm guessing here, but black people in the US with green eyes, straight hair and or very light complexion obviously have white blood in them. I wonder how those who are mixed feel about that, since anyone with any sort of color in their complexion tend to side with the black ethnic group.
I personally like people that are mixed. Well, that's if they inherit the good qualities of course.
