So I was thinking about picking up a Harmony 670 remote. Its selling for 115 on amazon and seems like a great deal. From what I've seen, the remote really simplifies everything. Any one can vouche for this?
I've got a 659 and it works very well for the most part. Depending on your devices you may have to do some manual tweaking to make it control all operations properly.

I have one, I think its the 880 (?)...not entirely sure bit it works great. The only thing it doesnt (yet) control is my PS3 DVD functions since it uses Bluetooth rather than IR. I like the fact that you configure your remote on the PC and then just download the settings (via USB) to the Harmony...very simple set up.
I picked up this Universal Remote URC 100. I love it. I think they have made some improvements to it, if you are looking for a big remote. The only problem with it, from my opinion, is that the buttons are bit hard to press.
I recommend you pull them out of the boxes at Best Buy or wherever and actually press the buttons with your eyes closed to see if you like the action.
Orientation of volume, guide, jump, and channel controls when you have it in your hand where it by default seems to rest due to its weight and curvature is something that is seldom considered, but very important!
Post your assessment. Interested to see what you think.

I've actually seen this remote ( the chunky one). It has good button placement, but I think I am going to go with the logitech. Its a nice small design and I love the fact it can power on everything with just one button.

I was thinking of getting one myself....interested to hear any other opinions.
I actually have two, the 880 and the 550 for the bedroom. They both work incredibly well. I have owned a sony RM-AX400, and I can tell you, the sony has nothing on these remotes. Setup is practically a cinch, and modifying any commands takes no time at all. The color screen and icons are nice, as well as the rechargeable battery. I would say this is one of the nicest feature of any home theater system.

Sweet. Just bought it and waiting for it to come in and finally finish my home theater project.
I've been looking for a good universal remote, which one, oh best buy guru man, should i buy. I have the following: DLP HD-TV, Toshiba HD-DVD with upconversion, PS3, 5.1 kenwood surround, Dish network HD-DVR. Currently I have a separate remote for every single one of them....I don't mind having 2 as i understand that the ps3 is bluetooth =(

Mine cycles thru all of the powering options I program. even will switch amp mode to DVD if I power DVD on, or DTV is I power on my cable box.
I guess I am partial to not using logitech since their mice suck.
