If I had a Pit or a Dobie, I wouldn't crop the ears. I always found it kind of cruel to be honest. Plus they look cuter with floppy ears. I'd crop the tail though, that thing can get in the way. That's just me.

dobie yes, pit no. pit's tails are thin and short and don't get in the way or hurt if they whip you. and i have found my dog uses her tail a lot to balance when shes going up/down stairs, etc.

I am not a fan of cropped ears either. I like the floppy eared look better on dogs..

i think cropped tail/ears is considered standard on dobermans.
for pits, the ears are owner's choice and tail is not to be docked.
