Jack didn't want to off balance the door & put Rose's life in more danger... he tried to get on, but it wasn't working, the ultimate consideration & sacrifice *choke*... sorry, i get a bit emotional when i go over it!!

I watched the alternate ending last night. When I saw the movie at the theater, I thought the ending sucked. After watching the alternate one, it make the original ending seem ingenious. man was that bad.. zombies in love? give me a break!
In the book there are infected that are all the way dead. They are very zombie like.
There are also some who succumb to the virus, but retain some human memory, traits, etc. and so long as their "needs" are met, they are quite human like. They seem to take this thread and go off on that tangent a bit.

If Jack wasn't a f'n pansie he'd have thrown that b1tch off that thing and got on it to save his own life. I mean he was going to America, where there are women o-plenty... I mean he could have at least scored a couple of injan chics. Or if he was really desperate to get to that poontang again he'd have used some ingenuity and collected a sh1t load of vests off of all the dead people and tied together a raft of some sort and floated to NY.
