^^^It's OK. The ending is rather abrupt, so I can see why the people who made the movies adapted the novel. The ending would piss the American audience off since they can't think for themselves.

Both are interesting ways of adapting the book, but it seems like this movie took Omega Man and adapted it more so than actually adapting the book for the screen........in actuality the book is more short story than anything else.

I watched the alternate ending last night. When I saw the movie at the theater, I thought the ending sucked. After watching the alternate one, it make the original ending seem ingenious. man was that bad.. zombies in love? give me a break!

Not necessarily... looks like it was a controlled environment... & a sterile clean room... that would mean the air is regulated... if there isn't enough sustaining supply of O2 @ detonation... there wouldn't be that much fire (plus grenades do not cause massive fireballs, but i digress)... i'd be more worried about structural damage!!
