All I have to say is that if I ever meet Christian Laettner in person I'm going to punch him in the face.
Come back and talk some $#!t when you've won more than three championships. Kentucky will be waiting with their seven trophies. Only UCLA (or, more to the point, John Wooden) has more. Oh and two other stats: Most wins of all time #1. Kentucky
#4. Duke
Highest Winning Percentage of All Time
#1. Kentucky
#5. Duke
And Kentucky's team is only three years older than Duke. THAT is a dynasty!

ehhh kentucky's not as good as they were a few years back. stop living in the history books, they're not even ranked.

They had one bad game on the opening day of the regular season with a brand new coach. Gillespie was just over conditioning them and they were tired. They've corrected it.
Living in the past? Duke hasn't won a championship since 2001 and Kentucky's last was only 3 years earlier. And we may have been beaten in the second round last year but that was still one round further than Duke. We got beat by Kansas who was a #1 seed. Who beat Duke? Oh yeah, it was...
VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH!!!
That's like getting beat by the University of Phoenix Online!
Duke had a bad year last year. What do you expect they lost JJ and Sheldon amongst others. They were young and still are. Don't forget they won the ACC tourney (which the ACC is generally accepted as the top in the NCAA) in 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000 and 1999.

Ok, so you've been better than the rest of your conference for the last eight years. Doesn't mean squat once you get to the Big Dance.
no it was not worthy of a response. Kentucky is not winning their tourneys like we are. if all you're concerned with is the NCAA title, well Kentucky sucks cause it's been like 10 years since they've won it.
like i said, Kentucky has had some good teams in the PAST but are nothing special as of late. Duke is consistantly good. Even last year, their HORRIBLE year they were 22-11 and ranked for the majority of the season.

Kentucky has won the SEC title 43 times. They didn't win the last two years because they lost it to overachieving UF teams who went on to win the national title. It's not like they haven't won because they got beat by Mississippi State. And like I said, UK may not have won in 10 years but Duke hasn't won in 7. And Kentucky has been ranked most of the season since, well, FOREVER. The only exception being the post-Eddie Sutton probation years of the late 80's.
Duke is not good. Coach K is good. They sucked before he got there and will suck when he leaves. Just look at UCLA without John Wooden. Kentucky has won championships with 5 different coaches and if Gillespie does at Kentucky what he did at his previous schools he's gonna win one at UK too. I'm not living in the past, I'm living in a continuing tradition of winning. Two years of being better than average but not great doesn't mean they suck now. Just like Duke being good for 10 years or so doesn't make them a great team. North Carolina: great team. Indiana: great team. Duke: they've had a good run.
