One Word: CLASSIC
Best movie I've seen in a really long time. Based on a true story. I know most of you guys have seen commercials, trailers, and/or advertisement on it, but you gotta see it. If you're into all that drug lord/crime mob of the early and late 70's then you'll love it. I sure did and the 16 friends I went to see it with....lol
I started to like watching movies/documentaries like this from the first time I saw Scarface and Carlito's Way. Then they start giving shows like Mastermind and documentaries on BET called American Gangster. So it made sense to watch this with a few people. I felt so paranoid when I left the theater though, I don't do anything illegal but the movie just made it feel that way...lmao

one of the greater movies of out time believe me.
Im from Harlem and ive known this story for quite some time now.....interesting to see it play out in a movie. great depiction, everything in the movie is true.

Took the wife to see it last night! And it was well worth the $17 dollars for the both of us. It was a very long movie but man it was all badass! It kept your mind going as to what was going to happen next. This movie will definatly be a classic. I would also pay $17 to see it again in theatres!

How accurate is the story? I have little faith in what Hollywood calls a true story.

I heard that the guy who it is about was on the set telling everyone how it went down..
i think the writers consulted him on certain things but i don't think he actually sat on the set. i saw an interview with him and he's fairly old and has some problems speaking and moving around. might be a disease or just old age, i forget.
they had a party in his honor for the movie and he had someone take him there but got there and did not feel up to it so he didn't get out of the car.
gangsta!
