Sorry Pattyskin! I had to edit your thread. I didn't even watch the race yet and logged on to 6mt and saw who won There are a couple people on here that may not have watched the race yet so I don't want it ruined for them too. You can edit your thread to say who won though since the title has spoiler on it
Finally finished watching the race. Work conspired against it though, ended up being paged 3 times today.
Super happy to see Ferrari win it, and Kimi as well. He should have a championship or two already if not for McLaren's lack of reliability the past couple seasons.

Woke up late. Got on the digital box and restarted the program. Changed the channel and it was past the original ending of the scheduled program. Didn't see the end of the race.
I must say it was a bit surprising to see Kimi win it, but he's a cool guy.
Overall there were some massive mistakes by Lewis that could have and should have been avoided (in China) and early in the race in Brazil. He's a great driver, but his manager should have pulled on the reins there.
It will be interesting to see what happens next year with Fernando and Lewis. Lewis seems to be the golden child and McClaren's favorite for #1 driver.

Good to see Kimi got it. I'm always happy to see another alcoholic prevail! He's a big party animal/alchy if y'all didn't know.
Too bad the cat fight between Alonso and Lewis kept them both off the #1 spot.
I think the mgmt at McLaren really is to blame for the situation with Alonso and Lewis. They should have stepped in and backed one driver instead of letting it get to a point it did. Lost them a championship.

Well the double whammy is that with the whole Ferrari fiasco, they are automatically out of the constructors championship. I am very surprised that McClaren didn't light load Alonso to get him to the pole at all costs. Hamilton they really messed up after China by not impressing on him how he doesn't need to win every race. Hamilton almost took out Alonso off the start and really didn't need to.
I do believe that Alonso was the #1 driver coming into the year, but Hamilton's results just forced them into a crazy situation. I think Alonso is gone and McClaren will stick with their golden boy.

Well it looks like Hamilton is the one with the real talent and Alonso, although a good driver, is on the way out. I still think McLaren dropped the ball on this one. They let a petty thing get in the way of one of their drivers winning a championship.

Hamilton, Kimi, and Fernando are the obvious class of F1. Kimi still does have issues with the durability of his cars (as in he kills his cars). Hamilton is gifted even for an F1 driver. Fernando is a two time champ.
Knowing McClarens' history with Hamilton and knowing the egos the F1 drivers have I can't say that I'm surprised with the issues going on with the team. Keep in mind that there is always a clearly defined #1 driver for a team. This year the #1 driver at McClaren should have been Fernando. It's a bit confusing as to how Hamilton is clearly faster all the time than Fernando was. I wouldn't be surprised if the behind the scenes politicing meant that McClaren was indeed favoring Hamilton.

I agree, I don't think McLaren made it clear who their #1 was. If anything they kept it all fuzzy. I think so they could say, "yeah this guys (fill-in-the-blank) was our #1 guy all along", to whomever won. Which is petty at best.

The problem also lies with Alonso, he never came out and grabbed onto the #1 drivers spot. If you are going to be the #1 for a team you need to clearly show that you are the better driver, something he didn't do.

True. Hamilton shows, on numerous occasions, that he was the better driver than Alonso.
