I think it's funny how the same folks who told us that "The Prez has nothing to do with the markets!" back when the Dow was tanking, are the same ones praising him for the upturn in those same indicies.

Now we're to believe that a prez CANDIDATE has a direct impact? LOL!

yep, especially when she says she wants to raise interest rates. All my stock were rallying, and then they dipped HUGE right after Hillary said she wanted to raise interest rates and said they were too high right now.

Losing 4k in 15 minutes is never fun.

One day's activity shouldn't matter to longterm investors. Unless you chose this very day to get in the market & get out and planned on making a bundle, don't sweat it. Make good choices, diversify and stick to your plan. You'll be fine.

Wait... stocks hit a new high this morning and you're surprised at a correction? And you're blaming a prezidential candidate? LMAO

"We were having a pretty good day, until they (investors) decided we've gotten too extended on the upside," Schrader said. "So they're hitting the semis and some of the other techs pretty hard in the afternoon."

Tell me about it, after Clinton everyone said you can't hold Clinton responsible for the great economy we had during his tenure. That was the rhetoric fed to all voters, "he has nothing to do with the economy."

Years later, what's the spin now? ohh, the President does? and they called Kerry a flip flopper.

Look at my chart here, stocks were going well. The first yellow line shows the time she is on CNBC, and says "I want to raise tax". Second yellow line is the selloff.

(unnecessarily large image removed)
Could you please post a link that shows where she said those words?

Funny. The word "raise" isn't found anywhere in that article. Still, it's been clear for years under W that the uber-rich have paid far less than their fair share of taxes, so it's about time that abuse was corrected.
