By the way, I made a ton of $$$ off of that De La Hoya/Vargas fight. I took money from all of the haters and I enjoyed every second of it.

I don't think they are chopped. Looks like too much booze or he lost a bet.

For starters he re-dedicated his Olympic gold medal to his manager. This wouldn't be so bad except he had already dedicated it to his mother who had passed away too early (I think it was cancer).

So, he can't dedicate his gold medal to 2 people?? This is a pretty weak reason to hate someone.

I remember when he tearfully dedicated the gold medal to his mother. The woman who raised him, sacrificed for him, and suffered in her last days.

Then he dedicates it to his manager who makes him money. Weak.

He should have dedicated one of his many professional titles to the manager and left the gold medal dedication to his parent alone. He shows lack of character.

Once again, that's a weak reason to hate a guy. If you don't like him as a boxer, fine. Everyone roots for different people/boxers/teams. But to hate him for that . . . come on bro.

i hate him because he is a pussy... lil cry baby and he is not THE GREAT BOXER that everyone protraits him as....

i also believe that he is an arrogant mf because of the shit he talks and he has not kept his believes from when he was younger, he has paid for so many fights to be fixed and he still doesnt care... he is bad for boxing and you can see it at all the fights, thats why most of the real fighters dont like him....

i applaud the fact that he won that olympic medal for the US becuase he is a united states citizen and this is his country... he made a very good name from those olympics but thats it... he is an amateur boxer, doesnt have the balls or ethics to be a real boxer.... the guy doesnt take challenges for fights unless he makes an absurd amout of money which and only if certain requirements are met....1. he cannot be hit "too hard", "the fight will be stop if he starts to get hurt", "most of the times the referee is picked up by him"..... and at the end he ends up trying to buy the challenger into working for him... and of course making money out of the guy.....

I don't hate him as a boxer. I think he's one of the finest to ever step in the ring.

I just lost all respect for him after the whole gold medal re-dedication. Again it shows lack of character and is essentially spitting on his mother's grave.

Uhhhh . . . . OKAAYYYYY. That is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard red. He pays to fix fights?? I stopped reading your response after that. I'm sure you have proof of that right?? Or is it just something that you heard from other haters??

Oscar De La Hoya Date of Birth: Feb. 4, 1973

thats his record..... mayorga man... com'on that guy was good and by the time he got the "opportunity" to fight de la hoya he was laready deep into drugs and alcohol....

felix sturm.... ok
Quote:
De La Hoya had much more trouble with the undefeated but largely unknown Sturm. De La Hoya was more active throughout (throwing 792 punches to 541 for Sturm) but Sturm was the more accurate puncher, outlanding the Golden Boy by a 234 to 188 margin and doing enough to win in the eyes of many ringside observers.
yori boy campas.... the hell is that????

fernando vargas... that fight was fixed vargas got bought out... look at him know he is with "golden boy productions"

javier castillejo... some more info on that dude please?

oba carr.... ok sure dude

ike quartey again a "close decision" was called....
Quote:
Sure the two judges who scored in favor of De La Hoya had him ahead by too wide a margin. Sure he got careless and was knocked on his butt in the sixth round while trying to finish off Quartey.
de la hoya is a joke!!

All I see is a recap of all of his fights. You call that proof?? What you just proved to me is that I am right.
