2 other cars stopped right after I did, but closer (I had the fore thought to not park where I blocked traffic) and already had 911 on the line. She was a screamer for sure, not sure I'd want to have put it back in place w/o ear plugs!

When I was a kid (12) I was going the wrong way down a hill as I had to bear left at the bottom. A pretty black jag made a right and I could not stop as it was raining, maybe snowing at the time. The hand brakes did nothing and i hit his door really hard.
I damaged the hell out of it too. I found out later I had a concussion and had to go to the hospital. I had no recollection of hitting my head.

whew....close call man....its so stupid how people can get away suing you, when they are the ones breaking the law... bikes on the road should get no special treatment. if they are goin the wrong way, and going through a red light, it should be their fault. I dislike how bikers ride in traffic, then ride through a crosswalk at a red light, then get back in the lanes of traffic. Follow either the rules of a vehicle, or a pedestrian.

I'm glad that she wasn't seriously injured and that there was little damage.

That's why the laws state that bicycle riders must obey the law of the road on the road and must "walk" their bicycles through the cross walks. Yeah, like that's ever gonna happen. I see your point though.

The last time I was at court, don't ask why, there was this hispanic guy who got arrested for DUI, on his bicycle, get this... for his 6th time. LMAO.

Gives new meaning to, "let the good times roll".

I ran over a cat when I was young. It caused a flat to my mom's tire. I am angry the cat messed up the tire, but at least the dumb gene was successfully removed from the breeding population.

I got hit on my bike once at school (SC). I was stopped at a stop sign and this girl who was trying to go around a left turning car swooshed around and came right at me. I couldn't do a thing but scream in my helmet as she knocked me down like a bowling pin. Stupid bitch had the radio blasting and was speeding. My bike's fairing got scratched but my leg took the brunt of the blow and I had a bruise for months. I got her info but never took any action. Mostly because a buddy of mine had just laid down my brand new GSX-R 750 about a week before so it already had some damage. Thinking back I should have done something but hey it's water under the bridge.

From your story, you shouldn't have anything to worry about gamma. Especially since you got a witness on your side.

LOL.. sorry to hear about your story but the way you tell it made me really bust out laughing.. the main thing is your ok and nothing more we can do but look back and laugh. whatever doesnt kill us makes us stronger i guess

I can't believe some of the replies in here... Thankfully the girl you hit was ok, and it seems like she was REALLY nice about it all. The G would be the last of my worries after whacking a person, whether it was their fault or not. Maybe that's just my sensative side coming out lol. Anywho, glad to see you're both ok and that, as a side note, the G is ok too.

Y'all are crazy. So you're saying that if you hit some old lady in a crosswalk and broke both her legs, you'd yell at her for denting your car?? I don't believe that for a second. Everyone has a heart, whether you like it or not.

That is exactly what I would do after picking her up and dragging her away from my hurt car so she can't inflict any more damage to it. Then I would get all of her information and sue the broken legs right out from under her....
