Default Get motivated!

Went to this semiar paid for by my company: GET MOTIVATED SEMINARS:
It had it moments and the real reason why I went was to hear Colin Powell speak. Steve Forbes was a nice bonus and so was Sugar Ray Leonard. I liked Brian Tracy tho, I never heard of him but he really did have some useful things to say.
Colin Powell was worth sitting in those chair for 8 hours. I always liked him since the Gulf war and throughout his public service, even tho he worked with Bush. He talked about globalization and how it impacts us as Americans and ADMITTED how they made a mistake after the fall of Saddam. I really respect that. He also talked about how leadership training he recieve in the military also helped him in his civilian life and had some great stories. He is a true definition of a leader IMO, read his book if you get a chance.

Oh one more thing, I really thought it was tacky for them to shoot fireworks when the guests were coming out. Sheesh, you'd think it was a WWF matchup with all that glitter and glits. Well for Colin Powell they didn't have fireworks but had confetti everywhere like he won something. He deserves it tho!

I like Colin Powell too, it's a shame he became such a misinformed poster boy for the bush administration on that one infamous conference at the UN on why we should go to war.

I know that if he wasn't pressured, and knew the whole truth, he wouldn't of done it.

I've met Gen. Powell years ago, well a salute and a handshake still count, and he's a very stern man. Very easy going but in a rattle snake sunning in the sun sort of way. I've always respected the man as he's one of the very few in the General staff who'd admit mistakes rather than try to blow through them. Very respectable and one of the few remaining men from the "old" generation. It's a pitty that Bush and his cronies used him like they did. Smart, I'd give them that, but low down still. They used his reputation and public acceptance to further their own agendas. And later when he didn't agree with their dirty ways, they gave him the boot.

Good stuff iron. So did you pop any sparklers and drink of coon juice while you were at it?
