So I just got my new iPhone today. This was kinda an impulse buy, I was already looking to get a new phone, but was going to go with a blackberry. I was consedering the iphone, but not as serious as a blackberry. But after playing with my cousin's, i really liked it, so I just went for it.
Is there anybody else here who has one? Any tips or advice?

Yeah, had one for a while. First tip, get a rubber case, I have the DLO version from the ATT store. Bough the leather one with the belt clip before, dropped it on the only unprotected area of the phone, the power button. I got a new one for free, but it wasn't worth the hassle.
have you had a blackberry to compare to the ipod? i really like the ipod but have heard the blackberry or even Q is more practical.
I like the Q. I have had it for a few days and so far so good. It is tough going from a clamshell phone to a PDA type phone.....I can even post on 6mt from my Q!
Do you use the iPhone at all to sync with Outlook or some other (non Apple) PIM software? The one nice thing about Windows Mobile is it does work well with Outlook which is pretty much the defacto standard PIM in Corporate America. If the iPhone doesn't work well with Outlook, it's a non starter for me.
Apple actually recommened using outlook to sync with when you first activate the iphone. I put all my old contacts into outlook and then just synced it into the iphone.

i type a lot on my pda. i would not really like the touch screen thing...
Yea, the touchscreen takes a bit getting use to. The 1 gripe I have about it is that I have to push another button to access the numbers or symbols and push back again to get back to the letters.

yah i do not own an iphone but to me it is more of a mobile entertainment device than a pda. i don't really care about watching movies or listening to songs if i have trouble typing up an email quickly.
