I was looking for a parking spot at Lowe's when a guy pulls up next to me in a plain white van. He gets my attention and all excitedly asks me if I want some "nice speakers" for my stereo or home theater. I told him I was cool and he drove off looking for his next "customer".
Anyone in the market for some bricks, er, surround sound speakers?
Remember when guys, usually in a buddy team, drove around neighborhoods offering to fix body damage on cars parked in the driveway? They'd usually do a bang up job with lots of bondo and charge like $100. Mostly make thing worse than better.
I remember in Jr. High kids, not me of course , in my neighborhood would go to a different neighborhood to knock on doors. They'd offer to paint your mail box for $10. If they refused they'd mark a big ass red X on their garage door and take off. LOL. Good stuff.

They used to do that here but they would sell older refurbushed stuff and claim it was brand new top of the line. Usually they had a laminated flyer that they 'found' that has the exact speakers for twice the price...
some guy at the gas station was trying to sell me waterless car wash stuff. but he was professional, he had a table set up... and my cop out didn't work!! (the old... sorry i have no cash... he had a mobile credit card machine!)
