it depends, NorCal in the suburbs is relatively easy going. there are two speeds, either really slow or really fast with no in between.
EXCEPTION: San Francisco. Fuck that place when it comes to driving. Lots of idiots out there.
Now L.A. is entirely aggressive. Strictly survival of the fittest.
I don't drive much in the O.C. so I wouldn't know how bad they have it, but I do know that everytime I go back from San Diego to L.A., I become more of a hot head, shout out vulgarities left and right, and protect myself at all times.
Personally, I think Brentwood and it's surrounding area has the worst drivers in the US. Most of the well to do in that area, drive like they own the road (no I'm being serious here). They have no concern for the "little" people. I always get so pissed whenever I'm in that area. They drive like the snobs they are. It's incredible. Somebody needs to do a Discovery channel special on these people.

It's no contest. SoCal drivers are the worst because everyone is so damn impatient. I've literally seen someone go into the lane for opposing traffic because they couldn't wait 30 seconds for a truck to back into an alley.
when i visit new york, i always ride the cab at least once....not because i need to go from point a to point b, but just to ride in the cab...like a thrill ride.

That's for sure... my first "real" weekend here, I almost got hit by some guy that had to swerve because another guy got impatient with another car and then cut into his lane.
A couple days ago I got stuck behind some guy on the freeway that would alternate between slowing down to about 35-40 and then speed up, then brake again - with no one else in front of him.
So far 3 weeks in SoCal is beating like 3 months in NorCal >__<
I think Vegas limo drivers are pretty insane. They can some how get you anywhere on the strip in just a few minutes. Or maybe i was just too drunk to realize how long i was actually in the limo
SoCal is crazy impatient, but ive been down there enough to not really notice it much anymore. NorCal has too many damn mini vans that REFUSE to move out of the fast lane on 2 lane freeways. Grrr i hate those people
