Yeah, but they didn't mention that Sam's life traggically ended when he finally escaped and looked in the mirror. He finally found out why they always looked so surprised to see the king.

Well, IMO Sam was smart it's always a good thing to kick the bucket, get on the rocket sled to mars, bite the bullet, etc. while you're at your prime. I mean, just look at Elvis. He over stayed his welcome by about 50 lbs. Sam did the right thing.
