Hey Archer, if you're serious about getting into time pieces check out a book called "Wrist Watch Annual 20xx". A buddy of mine recommended that book to me back in '94. I've been pretty much hooked into watches since then. It's a great hobby if you can control yourself because those damn watch companies usually do auto price hikes in the neighborhood of 10% annually and continue to release new models. Damn them!!!! Also, you'll get to learn about what makes a time piece "fine watches" compared to crackerjack box editions.
By the way, Neft. That Chanel you like is ok, but it's nothing special other than that it's a Chanel. It uses a so-so movement and Chanel doesn't even really assemble it themselves. It's what we call a shoe-horn or a mask job. Someone else makes it and Chanel just puts their name to it. Sure it's pricy, but it's a time piece that most wouldn't even consider a tier 2 or tier 3 piece. So I'd say keep looking till you find something with "real" quality. Looks only go so far.
