They're horny and the situation is right ... the relationship they are in is stale ... they miss the excitement of a new relationship (there is a chemical in the brain that is released that gives you a "new relationship high" it last 6 to 18 months, and then its gone until the next relationship). There could also be a "sense of entitlement" if she leads the relationship, or is the major wage earner.

There is no such thing as a whore or a slut - Everyone is entitled to a mistake or a thrill.
