Jewelry is like guns to me. Sure I'd buy it online, but I'd want to fondle it in person first.

A couple buddies and I are planning on starting up an E-Biz, so if you can spare a few minutes, please answer these questions for me.
1. Sex (what's the question?)
2. Do you feel secure purchasing fine jewerly online? (hell no, unless from macy's or something i know where it came from and i know where i can return it... but i'll stick with "hell no" for now)
3. Have you ever bought fine jewerly online before? If yes, what did you purchase and how much did you spend. If no, would you consider buying fine jewerly online? (see above, H.E.L.L. N.O.)
4. How often do you return an internet purchase?
(never have. i would if they send me the wrong thing, or something that doesn work. you have to build some trust with the shop before you buy tho)
5. What is your preferred search engine i.e. Google, Yahoo, MSN.
(are you kidding? yahoo and MSN dont even work.. GOOGLE all the way)
6. Are the search results, or the ads more useful to you. Ads are the links that appears on the side and top of your search results.
(i hate the ad's, i block them, i'd never click them)
7. How often do you click on the Ads from your search results.
(didnt we just talk about this? NEVER)
8. What is preferred payment when making an internet purchase (excluding Ebay)? i.e. Checking Account, Creditcards, Paypal, Google Checkout.
(credit card coz you can dispute it if those guys do not send your order or mess it up or something)
Thanks in advance. (no problem)
btw you should look up more surveys there are ones that are more thorough, you would be surprised to see results. all that info greatly helps.

1. Sex
Male
2. Do you feel secure purchasing fine jewerly online? with a 30 day money back return policy?
Not really. Unless backed by a powerhouse payment source.
3. Have you ever bought fine jewerly online before? If yes, what did you purchase and how much did you spend. If no, would you consider buying fine jewerly online?
No, don't think so.
4. How often do you return an internet purchase?
never have.
5. What is your preferred search engine i.e. Google, Yahoo, MSN.
yahooooooo
6. Are the search results, or the ads more useful to you. Ads are the links that appears on the side and top of your search results.
results.
7. How often do you click on the Ads from your search results.
probably once in my lifetime
8. What is preferred payment when making an internet purchase (excluding Ebay)? i.e. Checking Account, Creditcards, Paypal, Google Checkout.
2. Do you feel secure purchasing fine jewerly online? with a 30 day money back return policy? No. It's no guarantee of quality and I generally get nervous about large on line orders.
3. Have you ever bought fine jewerly online before? If yes, what did you purchase and how much did you spend. If no, would you consider buying fine jewerly online? Yes, if you count my watch. I bought from Ben Bridge after looking at what other retailers had. It's difficult to purchase something online unless there are a lot of pictures and even then with most jewelry you cannot determine quality. No, you repeated question# 2.
4. How often do you return an internet purchase? Never. I generally don't buy anything I haven't researched to death.
5. What is your preferred search engine i.e. Google, Yahoo, MSN. It's always Google.
6. Are the search results, or the ads more useful to you. Ads are the links that appears on the side and top of your search results. I rarely click the Ad banners.
7. How often do you click on the Ads from your search results. See above answer.
8. What is preferred payment when making an internet purchase (excluding Ebay)? i.e. Checking Account, Creditcards, Paypal, Google Checkout. Usually it's credit cards, it's got more protection for me as a purchaser. I hate PayPal with a passion, heard too many stories about guys getting screwed by them. Least favorite option is a cashiers check or money order.

you can buy them, or hire a company to make them for you. But what i personally would do is go here (Questionnaires and Surveys - A Free Tutorial) and learn a couple of tricks off google then design my own. it's cheapest, but the cost is your time.
surveys are really important, and give you good information if you know how to analyze them i.e. how to obtain information out of data. also when you do the survey target different "classes" of people, different races and so on. You might end up knowing that indians mostly but jewlery online, so you might make your entire site an indian site or something. (just an example)

^^^That's what I learned in my research method classes back in school....I'm just trying to get a feel for people's opinions towards buying jewelry online....If I was writing a business plan, I would consider paying for the surveys...
