saw the first video before posted on a website where the title was something like "police shoot unarmed man in the back" , after seeing the second video from a different angle, I would have fired also.

a lot of cops would have shot when he first got out of the car and angled the gun up towards them.

i saw a show the other day that analyzed the rodney king beating and they showed extended footage that really changed my perspective on it.
before the beating, they tried to get rodney down on the ground to cuff him and he would not lay down, he kept getting up, pushing and grabbing at the officers. it went on for some time before they started using their batons.

Rodney King deserved to get his *ss whupped!!
Moving on... this case right here... they knew he wasn't brandishing a weapon or they would have dropped him from jump... & even if i give them the benefit of the doubt, & say they didn't know... is it really necessary to shoot someone in the back 8 times?? What ever happened to only as much force as is needed??

i don't know anything about the video, as far as him not even having a weapon. he had something in his hand.

but police do not shoot to injur... they shoot to kill. a hurt man can still fire back.

NOONE should ever shoot to injure; all you have to gain by doing so is a more pissed off attacker and a lawsuit on your hands. If you're going to shoot someone, take them down; let a grand jury decide if its justified.

... 'twas a cell phone in his hand!! Don't get me wrong... this bamma in the vid also needed to catch a Rodney King as well, but really wasn't any need to end his life!!

Shooting to wound is for movies and tv shows. Real world you shoot for center mass and you shoot till the threat is eliminated.

Thats reality for ya. Be glad cops aren't generally taught to double tap, guy could have had more holes in him.

The guy got exactly what he wanted suicide by cop. Even if it was a cell phone he presented it as a weapon and the officers treated it as such. The problem with society is every one wants to point the finger at the guy doing his job, not the idiot that caused the problem. I can guarantee you that those officers did not wake up that day wishing for that situation.
