Rehearsal dinner has just finished . . .
ayaaayai, what an experience. since i have two sets of parents by myself + the in-laws that make up 5 families on their own . . . I had to calm everybody down with a tequila shot right off the bat so that we could get mingling. i felt like i was playing politician the whole night. still, surprisingly, it all worked out. step-mom talked and hugged mom, pop talked and shook hands with step-dad . . . i realize that you've never walked in my shoes but in my short life span it was a sight that i'd never imagine. i had a quick flashback to the time when i was a kid and i had to decide which side of the courtroom to sit on with two sets of parents and BELIEVE me, you don't want your 12 year old to make that sort of decision. and now, now, it's all good. for a moment it was all water under the bridge.
i'm still sippin' on gentleman jack on the rocks just thinkin' about tonight's event.
people laughed, got a little drunk, and wished us well. no one fought. people hugged.
thanks for all your well wishes - all of you - who i've gotten to know through the power of the internet. surprisingly, this little car forum has actually helped me throughout. vent a little, share a little, and laugh a whole lot.
i raise my glass to you as well.
tomorrow i'll be married and me and my solitified best friend will start an official journey together. one where i know good things will happen. tomorrow we start to change the world together, for the better.
peace out ya'll. once again thanks for the well wishes.
p.s. And Neft, do me a favor and get rid of that fucking signature will ya?
p.s.s. once again Smoke, thanks for the laugh. it was good.
