Had no choice... had to drive my mom up to the city, then had to pick one of my friends up from LaGuardia... she was uninjured, but i thought i bent the wheels on a few of those invisible until you are 5'' from it potholes that have been known to swallow wheels, bikes & small children!!
then the fact that i had out of state plates... worst sh*t ever!!

Yeah those potholes are no joke! That and the taxi drivers. They'll run your ass over if you get in the way!

That & if your plates do not say NY, you are not going to get a bligh... almost ate me alive!!
i've always heard notorious things about driving in NYC. i've driven in Tijuana, MX where it's survival of the fittest and designated lanes and turn signals are almost pointless . . . is NYC similar?

More like the Indy500 between lights... constantly fighting for pole position... any little space left open is justified for a vehicle to abruptly move in & make themselves comfortable!! Also, you have 0.002 sec to move your arse after the light turns green!!

hmmm, so if i go to new york, i'm going to buy a $2,000 crown vic under a false name. i'll drive it around, park it where i feel, get a ticket, get dinged, and just leave the pos there!

Oh yeah you must tailgate otherwise you left enough room and you will get your car hit in the front or the back when you slam on the brakes to make room you get rear ended. Lots of tapping when driving in NYC. Fun!
And way way to much honking. The horns are non stop. I thought Philly was bad for this in Center city but nothing like NY it's just a whole different level there.

Or take the metro & potentially get mugged, raped, pee'd on &/or all three!!
If you're in the East coast take a couple of days in the Hamptons. It's nice and relaxing but you can find crazy bars to go crazy in. Very nice this time of year too.
