Eh, this happens all the time in medicine. It's just happens to happen a lot more at VA hospitals. It's one of the primary reasons I never go to the VA hosiptal. Ever!
I had a Sgt. of mine who had his appendix removed only to find out they left a 6" metal surgical instrument inside of him. I've heard worse horror stories from other vets. Remember, due to the horrendous shortage of doctors and nurses by the US military they end up taking anyone and everyone. Due to the fact that the gov't doesn't pay as much as private hospitals they end up getting all the C students. Trust me, it's not very fun to have a doctor tell you to bend over, grab your ankles in a language that sounds like a 747 crashing in a fireball. Yeah, I'd rather not get into the details of how I know that...

Well considering they were going to take the other walnut in the first place because they thought it was potentially cancerous (and shriveled and painful), I'd have to say it's history.
I think his future is going to be no balls and a lot of testosterone shots.

As partial restitution, he should also demand a MOAPP (Mother-of-all-penis-pumps) implant. The surgery, of course, to be performed at the hospital of his own choosing. Otherwise he might never be able to bend his right arm again...

Personally I think he should sue the doctor for his nuts. Have them lop of the doctor's nuts and do a nut replacement operation.
