Dude, the driving test doesn't test driving ability. And if you take it enough times, you will pass eventually. It's pretty unsettling actually.

What scares me is this guy probably drives better than a lot of 40 year old soccer moms.

driving exam is much harder when you're over 60. examiners are less lenient. however, i think they are just testing if he can see or hear anything at all

Haha, it's true! It's hard to drive a van/car when you're talking on the phone, doing your makeup, trying to shut up the kids and drinking coffee at the same time.
