My cousin and eye looked at each other with this look of, "what the fuck did he just say??? "

I then had to ask him again, "uhm can you repeat that?" He said it slower and I was able to understand. My cousin however, still looked at me clueless.

English my ass!
I acutally understand the Brits pretty good. That could be due to my training in Georgia/Alabama/S & N Carolina's.

My first experience with the South was when I landed in a small airport in Columbus, Georiga. I had to take a taxi ride, about 30 mins, to Ft. Benning, GA. The cab driver never stopped talking for the entire ride. All I remember making out were two words, Ft. Benning and Army. Everything else might as well been French. I arrived in Columbus like 11:30 pm and if I wasn't nervous enough I was then. Man those dark lonely two lane hwy's in the south are something to see when all you've ever seen in your life were big 5 lane fwy's. I thought I was in another country.

Too many to list.

I can understand when people treat you different when out of uniform, but I've had several instances of sh1t in uniform. That's what sort of ended what little respect I have for the south. So much institutionalized ignorance there that it makes you sick.
