Alright I need to vent. I just went out for a little Saturday drive in the nice weather. It wasnt a "spirited" drive, just a cruise where i was blasting some music with the windows down. I was driving down a 4 lane road, 2 lanes each way, where it is possible to do 140 on because it is so straight and long. I was doing 60 going a little faster than the flow of traffic, so not a big deal at all. I did switch lanes a couple times because other cars were just in the way. Thats what I did and here comes the venting...
As a side note, I live in snooty ville USA where everyone thinks theyre the best thing since sliced bread. So after doing my 60 in a 40 or 45, some middle aged fvcktard wearing a turtleneck sweater and greased back hair comes up aside me in a big red Caddilac with his window down. I saw him looking at me so i slowed down to see what was up, as i slowed down, he slowed down, so i SLAMMED on my brakes to make him get ahead of me. He then started yelling at me and was like "Your and agressive driver! You were just doing 60 miles per hour! I have your license plate number and im reporting you to the police!" so I just played it off being nice like I wasn't aware. Then he said he was reporting me again and was yelling at me, so i got PISSED off (i have a very short temper). So I just said "Fvck you" and drove off.
Now the point to my story is, what happens if someone reports you to the cops? If i get pulled over in the future will they charge me with whatever the guy said i was doing? Or will they just be like "We have had a complaint against your driving blah blah"
Sorry for the rant, this literally just happened 15 minutes ago and I hate old snooty men.

You're fine, if the cops don't witness you speeding they can't do anything based on the word of a 3rd party.
I've had a similar encounter with a former district employee who said I was endangering the cross country athletes he coached by doing 35mph through a parking lot 50 ft away from them with a whole row of cars between us. Pissed him off by being a smartass and keeping my cool.
Mmmh, guys like the one in the Caddy are really just A-holes, a real plague on north american roads. He should just work to remove whatever is stuck up his ass and have a Nice Cup of STFU!
Sure the cops can't do a damn thing... unless the guy files a complaint against you because he suffered a prejudice like, say, you slammed into his car before driving off...
Otherwise your only problem is being (understandably) pissed off.
The only thing that could have happened is he could have called the cops because he thought you were driving erratically and they could have come to the area to follow you to see if you continue to do so. The cop has to witness it (for something like this)....he can't go on hearsay from some old f*ck

Well, having someone say they are going to report you to the cops is basically useless. I have a friend that is a DE state trooper and he told me that unless they catch someone in the act of being an aggressive driver, they really can't do anything. So I really wouldn't worry about it. Out of curiousity, where in DE do you live? I am assuming somewhere above the canal?

I really have a hard time believing 155 on a main street in town. I have spent plenty of seat time at 120 and above, many times in the 160's. I guess it would all depend on the street, the fastes that I know of someone being clocked on a downtown street was 126 mph. And she was a soon to be former deputy. I have run 90-125 in a Crown Vic on certain type of calls, those mostly on two lane country roads. The only time I have ever gone over 140 has been on limited access roads. Too many chances for someone to pull out in front of you because they can't judge your speed.
