Anyone know anything about cell phones?

I got an LG Chocolate for Christmas but it's a piece of shit and is falling apart. If I buy another cell phone on Ebay, how to I transfer my number to the new phone?

depends if you want to stay with the same phon carrier or not.

If you switch, simply sign up with the new carrier and ask them to port your number over.

If you stay with Verizon, you will need to buy another Verizon phone and call them up to switch the account over to the new phone.

I had call that went like this about ten years ago.
(my brother) Just got call from alarm company, basement door open, basement motion detector going off also.
(me) I am 6 miles away, in route.
(my brother) Deputy in route, 4 min eta.
(me) Give them my vehicle description, my ETA 4 minutes.


I beat the deputy to my house, we talk at top of the hill and proceede to clear my own house, bad guy gone and nothing missing.

Wouldn't you just tell the new carrier that you want to change the numbers?

If it's the GSM Chocolate all you need is to transfer your sim card to another phone. If you have the verizon one, you're going to have to deal with verizon.

I don't know a whole lot about cellies but I do know that the Motorola Q is the shiznit. I am using my phone right now as a modem for my laptop and it works at Broadband speeds!!
