WTF? my car locked me out, strangest thing

Ok strangest thing happend tonight
i was working on replacing few light bulbs in the clock of my G35 had keys in the ignition went inside of the house, i come back and the car locked itself with the key still inside...WTF is going on,,,,i dont think its even possible to lock the car with key inside.................................

Hmm... that's weird but I do know that if you unlock your car and not open the door it auto locks itself after a few minutes. But that's only if you do it when your car has been siting around locked up and then you press unlock on your key fob. If you don't open the door it will lock itself, but something doesn't sound right about your situation. Let us know if you find the cause. Good luck.

i had a friend with tripple a that helped me out,,,,
they came and opened the car and to my surprised key was still in the ignition all the way,,,,,so i dont know wtf is going on..
