So I finally got around to gathering up my again growing collection. I don't know as of yet if that's a good thing or not, but here goes anyway. I know that many of you out there are watch fans too so I hope you enjoy.

I have a few other watches but they didn't make the list because they have been sent back to Swiss for regualr maintenance and should be back within a month. Hope you enjoyed the pics. Shoot off your comments, I love to talk about them as much as I like to collect them.

Hey Zoom,
I have #1 on your list and was wondering what you think of it's actual performance. Although a gorgeous watch, it's never been within 10sec/day. Somtimes it's fast, then slow...urgh...pisses me off. It's been so inaccurate that I'd lose 50sec/day at one point. The watch dealer always gave me stupid explanations, like: "anytime you disturb it, such as impacts during shipment, it could lose some accuracy"...and "you may not be giving it enough motion".
I could understand the latter, but I used to wind it as well and still...
And service is another thing. Doesn't Omega charge like $250/4yr?...not to mention you don't have your watch for a month. I'm starting to think it'd more worth buying a cheapo watch every 4 years and it'd be more accurate...
^^^ Great question boc, but let me answer GZire first. My Omea SMP (Seamaster Professional) is a quartz movement. One of the primary reasons I chose quartz over auto movement, which by the way all my other watches are auto, is because it is my daily wear watch. I've learned from my previous mistakes. So whenever I buy a watch to be my "daily" wear. I make sure it's a quartz movement. Here are some of the benefits of buying quartz for your daily wear. Quartz doesn't need to be handwound, worn daily or put on a winder. Quartz also keeps time much more accurately than an typical auto movement. Also, quartz is able to take much more of a beating and still keep accurate time, some auto movements that do not have a thorough shock resistance system can and will be thrown off by shock to it's case.
Boc, the problems you speak of are really inconsistent with Omegas. I'd take it back to the AD (authorized dealer) you purchased it from and ask to have them open it up and do a check up. Or better yet, contact Omega and see what they will do for your under warranty. Omega's are some of the most accurate and reliable watches and their craftmanship and quality are well known. Some of the problems you listed are way out of line of what your Omega should be doing, so I'd definitely look into it. In terms of service, well all auto watches need checkups every 3 to 5 years and after having spent a chunk of money on it, I'd think you'd want it to be in good shap and running true.
GZ, I'm sure you've noticed but I'm very particular to large watches. Maybe it's because I'm big and have a relatively large diameter wrist, but I'm very particular to larger "dive" watches. I picked this up during my stay in the military. Most of my watches are 44mm and larger.

.........actually I was asking if boczek17's watch was an auto. Could go a ways to explaining his issues. However that being said, the time error is still way to large for an auto and does seem to point to other issues.
I thought you'd beaten your problem man, why the backslide into the watches?

I know GZ, I've been going down that road again. But I've been pretty good to limiting it to just what you see. In either case, I don't think the collection will grow any larger than what you see here. Well, let's hope.
No more watches... No more watches... No more watches...
