Got this in an email from one of our school resource officers that he received from a fellow cop, pretty resourceful... I'd never thought of storing a gun in the rear seat cubby hole.
Here's a nice feature of the rear armrest in the new 2006 Infiniti G35X. The armrest is totally stock and we did not even know about it until reading the owners manual.
Armrest up/stored
Armrest down
Velcro secured cover conceals hidden storage.
Of course, the Glock 26 is not standard equipment, but you get the idea.

From a guy on facebook as a comment to a picture he posted of several AK 30rd magazines...

war? you don't need a reason to stockpile ammunition/mags? besides, the ak is in my car trunk 24/7 with a vest ready to roll on top of my .40 pistol that i carry at all times with 1extra mag in the holster and another mag that's in my drivers side door. downtown richmond is a dangerous place. not to mention we have very benevolent gun laws.
the trunk isn't exactly a secret but damn think of the guns you could store back there!
^^^Uhmmm, he carries an AK? WTF do you need an AK for? All I need is quick access to my pistol just in case I can't run over the motherfucker.
I've heard of the driver's side door panel being used for compact pistols. My S&W 4006 would probably fit best there but I don't want to carry it ilegally.
Well in California it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon in your car (loaded). Actually a felony. Unloaded, what's the purpose, just put it in your trunk. Plus in the sedan scenario, even if you were a covert operative on a mission and needed quick access to your piece, reaching back to drop the armrest, undo the velcro and fumble with getting a grip doesn't seem too practical. You might opt for a shoulder holster.
I know the James Bond factor seems cool, but I find it safer and legal to carry weapons unloaded in the trunk to and from 'target practice'.
All that said, I'm sure there are those here who will put that space to other good use. No stash spot in the G?!
