After much ass squeezing and legal wrangling I can finally say he won the title. It seemed like a foregone conclusion when I promised the victory several months ago.
I'm bummed because I missed the race. I had a really early tournament time that I couldn't miss (I finished 4th). Second place finisher played in my group, if I knew that cheap bastage was going to skip out on the lunch check, I would've torpedoed his tournament hopes.
Anyhow, it's going to be a really interesting year with F1 in 07. We'll finally see if McLaren/Mercedes actually fields a durable car, or if Kimi just abuses the cars too much. Also, it'll be pretty interesting to see how Massa, Kimi, and Fernando perform.

Yup, you almost had to eat your own words and I would have LMFAO!!!
Fernado is no doubt one of the best talents in Formula One. However, he still lacks the aura of a great champion imho. Not at least until he learns to control his emotion in front of the reporters with all the classless offenses.
I'm definitely looking forward to next year, having the tire equation eliminated. We'll now know who's truly has the best car/driver combination. Poor Masa will likely resume the #2 role next to Kimmi.
You bastage!!!! That was before that whole mass damper legal BS.
I guess it's one of the bad points with having so many young drivers who haven't had a lot of time in front of the cameras. That being said a lot of their comments are from second or third languages and the connotations from some of the vocabulary that they are using may be lost on them as this stage in their life.
Hopefully Massa won't have to be strictly #2. If Kimi is truly harder on the car than he should be, maybe Massa might be able to gain more favor with Ferrari.

That's why they say, "This is Formula One. Anything can happen."

True, but humility isn't something you can teach at his age. Michael has always been humble from the start.

One driver and one bitch. That is the Ferrari way. Always has been, always will be.
Raikkonen's resume of the #1 seat @ Ferrai is more or less set in stone when he signed a multi year contract, while Masa barely secured one additional year of service. In a sense, Massa is disposable.
Massa could be fast if the sun and the moon falls in the right phase. He's simply not consistant enough. Raikkonen has proven to be cool and consistently fast if given a competitive car. The "Ice Man" makes very little mistakes.
I just hope Raikkonen's known lack of a working habit won't back fire on his ass. It's going to be tough filling in Schumacher's shoes.

I'm not so sure how humble Michael is. Anyone at that level always has a chip on his shoulder. However he is always grateful for his crew and what they do for him. I give him props for that.
I agree that Kimi is fast, but he has a disturbing trend of having to retire his car or ends up with something happening. I'm not so sure all of it can be attributed to McClaren/Mercedes. With a pretty dependable Ferrari car, we'll get a good idea of how well he manages his car.
I think I'm going to root for Massa in this upcoming year.

Aside from melee damages incurred, one can't be hold accountable for retirements. A well engineered car will let one pound on her all day all night and then some. Both Ferrari and Renault has shown this to be the case generally. I say that McLaren is a pile of rubble. It lost its soul the second Adrian Newey left the stage.
Aside from the issue of consistency or lack there of. I'm just not convinced Massa has the "in race" killer instinct that is requisite to be a World Champion. He's basically demonstrated that he can run fast by himself (clear of traffic). I can't seem to remeber the last time he made an impossible pass on an opponent. Michael's got it, Fernando's got it, and Raikkonen's certainly got it. Massa? ... none that I've yet seen.
I'll continue to root for Honda next year. Hopefully they'll fair even better. I'm just glad they kicked Toyota's arse!
With the amount of money Toyotas pouring in, I'm wondering how long it will be before they really start to get good. BTW Sato needs to get banned from F1.
