I too just heard about this not too long ago. Hope GZire (Kurtis) is ok.

The quake hit on the "Big Island" approx. 10 miles from the city of Kailua Kona. I did a search here and saw that Kurtis' on the Oahu island, a good distance away, so that's a very good thing. Got some people from the Oahu island saying thigs are okay there, but they lost power (to the whole island?) and was just restored not too long ago.

My guess is his ISP is crapped out in the process. No porn for you GZ!

In either case, check in w. us Kurtis.

OK.................

I'm up around 06:45 AM. I start a load in the washer, then go up to check on the NFL game. Rams vs. Seahawks...........yay!!! So I watch Bulger throw a touchdown to Holt, then wowee........it's earthquake #1........07:08 AM. It lasted pretty long, but it's a lot less scary than the one we got a couple of months ago, the one at night.

Continue watching the game, then bang the power goes out, and eathquake #2. I didn't feel any of the aftershocks.

So power was out from 07:14 AM or so until sometime after 09:00 PM (when I think I fell asleep). Got up this morning and am at work. I need to go home tonight and start dumping stuff from the fridge.

So I was listening for most of the day on the new MP3 player.........radio and the two albums I had transfered on there as a test (I wish I had put more music on). Anywho, the larger hard drive MP3 players and PSP options would probably have died off on me and I would have been stuck. I had to recharge the flash MP3 player once using my laptop, so I guess it worked out OK for entertainment.

The house in general looks OK, nothing I can see that looks like it's been damaged. Anyhow thanks for looking out for me guys.

You meant PM, right GZ? Or else, there's no way I'd wake up that early to watch football.

Nice to know that you're all right.

No..........I meant AM. I get up early for work, so no matter what I am up that early.............crap, my laundry is still in the washer. I need to redo it tonight.

Well the last time I was going to watch a Rams game, it got pulled in favor of something else. There are mysterious forced afoot here.

God damn! That's fucking early to watch a ball game. Yeah, I get up that early too but still, I can't imagine strolling into a bar at 7am and say, give me a shot, a beer and keep 'em coming!

Hey it's always been that way down here man. To me Sunday morning football always means that early, unlike you midday guys up there.

Thanks Mike.
