Let's talk MP3 players here. I am looking for something not to exceed $200. I'm not necessarily huge into MP3 players, but if I have to listen to a baby crying for 5 hours on a plane, I will be killing someone. An AM/FM tuner would be preferred as well as a way to browse through some of the stuff in the library. It's been a while since I ripped one of my CDs to an MP3 format (once my old computer died, I have lost the will to do this..........takes too much time), so I'm looking for something that's quick and painless to transfer the music.
Your help is appreciated. I hate Apple BTW.

yea unfortunately it does not have expandable memory, most mp3 units dont. its easy to transfer the music over too, it will give you everything you need.
the ones that come with it suck obviously. i wouldnt spend more then 30 bucks on headphones, just get sport ones(ill find a link in a second). noice cancelling headphones are $$$$-around 350 bucks
I hate Apple too (more for their zealot like users, holier than thou attitude and empty promises), but I love my Nano and wouldn't give it up except maybe for a newer model nano.
I tried some sony noise canceling headphones a few months ago, couldn't stand them as there was a constant background buzz that was described as a "normal part of the noise canceling". Normal my ass, if I want to listen to buzzing static I'll load up a sine wave generator. I went with a pair of DJ style sony's for office use instead MDR V500DJ.
I've got a pair of Koss earbuds for the gym/cycling that aren't noise canceling, but with their soft foam ear pieces seal tight enough to block out most background noise. The thing I really love about them is they have actual bass rather than being flat like most earbuds.
